I am an elem art teacher K-5 trying to get the school onboard with Flipgrid because if over 20% say they have tech problems, how can I assign anything using it. I am willing to troubleshoot.
So far one person switched to Chrome- resolved.
One person reinstalled Chrome- fixed their problem.
I am getting some weird reports (but not with full details) of cellphones asking for them to use the flipgrid app but then requesting that they enter their passcode. Is that maybe that they need to download the app and do single sign-on with Office 365 through Flipgrid? And then the ywould go back to the Canvas assignment and it would ask them if they want to use the app and it would be authenticated already?
There are so many variations of problems with this interface I wish I had a troubleshooting page I could go to just for this. i do think Flipgrid is worth the effort, but I need to get teachers on board as well as students. Currently my highest percentage grade level for submitting is at 45%...I think its interesting that that is 1st grade, while kindergarten is my lowest submission rate at a little over 20%. I dont have time to sit with each kid in my large group classes off 100 to 200, but if they come during my office hours, I am available or if teachers dealing with 20-28 got involved, I think it would make a big difference.
