Is there a way to set up answers for quiz questions that are "fill in multiple blanks" as non case sensitive?

It looks like they have addressed the in New Quizzes (https://community.canvaslms.com/ideas/7365-case-sensitive-answers-in-a-quiz?commentID=68700#comment-...) but that doesn't help those of us whose institutions don't use New Quizzes yet.
