[ARCHIVED] Fill in Multiple Blanks - Duplicate Answers

Hello all!

I am wondering if anyone has run into the following issue.  I have a question where 3 blanks can be filled with any of the 3 correct answers.

For example, the question is "The three vertical cavities are the [term1], [term2], and [term3].

The correct answers are, abdominal, pelvic, an thoracic, in any order, of course.

If a student writes the same answer twice, for example, "abdominal, abdominal, and pelvic", the quiz will score these 3 answers as the correct answer.

Does anyone know if there is a way to mark a duplicate answer as incorrect?

Thanks!

Certainly! For that question, you have a lot of options. You could create a multiple choice question and draw the line, you could use a fill-in-the-blank question, but then students would have to type in the answer. I would suggest, however, using the multiple drop downs question type. The result would look like this:
