Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Hello,
We are a K-12 Virtual program and have rolling enrollments to allow students the flexibility to enter and exit an online course just as they would by moving from school to school. This poses a few issues. Due to the way our courses are scheduled and some limitations of our current SIS, we are forced to create year long courses and handle content delivery by section enrollment in each course. This creates the problem of migrating courses year to year. We lose sections during the course migration, and so have to go back and recreate the sections, then reset all of the due dates. This is a tedious task for our teachers. I have submitted a feature request to solve this problem by simply allowing sections and differentiated due dates to migrate (optionally). Would this benefit anyone else? if so please vote on the request . I would love it if anyone has some alternative ideas as well.
I believe @mlattke has rolling enrollments. Hopefully she'll be able to share some insights!
Hi @japarodi ~ I'm sorry that your question hasn't received any feedback in the last 18 months! How are your rolling enrollments going? Have you since submitted any other feature ideas to support your needs? I know it's been a while since this thread has seen action, but an update would be awesome if you would find value in reopening the conversation!
