 Can I get a notification in the website when I login? The discussion board is terrible, I have a hard time figuring out whats an original post and whats a reply. The notification system is terrible.

How do I subscribe to a discussion as a student? 

How do I set my Canvas notification preferences as a student? 

How do I view global activity for all my courses in the Recent Activity Dashboard as a student?
