I have created DQs for my students each week. I am requiring them to respond to the initial question and then at least twice to their peers.  I thought there was a way to have this automatically added to the gradebook.  For example, Sally Student logs in, responds to the DQ question and automatically is given full credit in the grade book.  Sam Student responded to the DQ but did not respond to his peers so he automatically earned 1/3 in the gradebook.  

How can I have these grades automatically entered into the grade book?

Graded Discussions cannot be auto-graded.  These types of graded activities must be manually graded with the Speed Grader.

Wait, one more follow up question.  If we left it as ungraded would it automatically assign some sort of completion credit? Basically, this is for a younger class and I want them to earn credit, but just for completing it. The purpose is for them to get used to doing it before I grade for content.
