[ARCHIVED] Create a quiz for a few students and not for the whole class

Prior to moving my class to online, I had given a paper quiz to my class in a face to face class. There were students that were absent the day of the quiz. Is there a way to create a quiz online with the intent to give it to a few students and not to the entire class? 

Please advise.

Thanks for sharing your question with us. You can definitely do what you are suggestion.

First, you would create the quiz.

Then you would remove the "everyone" assignment [in the assign box of the quiz settings] and only assign it to the students who missed the paper quiz.
