The instructors want to be able to have interactions among students that are enrolled in different courses. Is that possible? And in that case, How?

Ex: Math and Biology would like to have a cooperation about a theme and students that are enrolled in Math and students that are enrolled in Biology should be able to be in the same gruoup and cooperate to learn from each other.

Hi  @erika_malmkvist  Welcome to the Canvas Community.

A few possibilities come to mind but they may depend on how your institution has Canvas set up:

• Sections - where you could merge the two classes into one class and have them work collaboratively and separately How do I add a section to a course as an instructor? 
• A self enrol link to each others courses - this could get messy but the potential is there How do I enable course self-enrollment with a join code or secret URL? 
• Groups (if you have the students all in the same course) 
  • How do I allow students to create their own student groups?
  • How do I automatically assign students to groups?
  • How do I manually assign students to groups?
• Collaborations - where students use the same collaborative word, excel, powerpoint for group work 
  • How do I create a Google Drive collaboration as an instructor?
  • How do I create a Google Docs collaboration as an instructor?
  • How do I create a Microsoft Office 365 collaboration as an instructor?

These are just a few possibilities to get you started.

Thank you! I now know how to use sections and how to cross-list courses and it looks like that this is exactly what the techers wanted.
