I am using Canvas with the hopes of creating a more dynamic learning environment for my students. The elements of Canvas should make assigning and receiving different types of assessments, including audio and video, much more time efficient since the recorders are built right into the program. The Mastery Paths should make Individualized instruction much easier, which, in turn, should lead to higher student engagement and achievement. The features of Canvas should make creating listening and viewing activities much easier since you can quickly create an assignment by pasting links to resources directly into the question generator boxes. One final feature that I think will make using Canvas easier is that you can import files directly from Google Drive into the coursework. Since I store the majority of my files on Google Drive, this should make the transition to Canvas a little easier.
