Why after downloading a video from youtube to canvas studio are there still commercials/ads and other the links the students could click?

Hi,   @rshjtowle  Welcome ‌ to the Canvas LMS Community‌!

Great question! I hope I can shed some light on this. Unfortunately, Canvas cannot edit the content that is embedded in a YouTube video. For example, if the YouTube user/author has built-in ads, Canvas cannot remove the ads once the video is uploaded to the Guides: Studio‌.

In the meantime, you may want to copy the direct link (see image below) from the "Share" feature of the video and upload the video into your Canvas Studio using the link. 

I'm not aware of a work-around for "removing" ads or in-video links. I hope someone else can offer insight here, too. I'd like to learn, as well.
