Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
Hi.
As an admin I feel that Canvas Studio is severly lacking in regards of an admin interface. Our usage of Studio have increased lately and I would like to monitor how much storage we as an institution have consumed. Studio don't provide any metrics or reports so how can I get this information?
The API is as lackluster as the admin interface and isn't any help in this use case either.

I was just looking for a feature idea to connect to this thread, but I didn't find one. I could have failed in searching, but if not, would one of you want to submit one as new? https://community.canvaslms.com/community/ideas
Per,
I have the same question and feel the same as you.
I reached out to my CSM and was able to get a little bit of usage analytics. I think if studio users all start requesting that type of information, it will help signal the importance of providing this information in some admin type dashboard. For now, see what your CSM can get and let's hope future enhancements will provide this data more readily!
I brought this up at the Studio booth last year at InstCon, as I feel it's important for many reasons. I will also bring this up again to my CSM now!

I am glad to find that others feel the same as I do! A more robust admin dashboard is needed. This would not only help us monitor usage, but help us promote good management/usage practices for our users. In my experience with other similar services (not Canvas) having to reach out to others to find this basic information is both time consuming and inefficient.
