The iOS version of the Canvas Student app allows for an assignment submission to be scanned within the (bottom far right menu when submitting) while the Android app only allows for the camera and file upload. Because of this, students using the iOS app can submit a pdf whereas Android users can only submit a jpg. Why does the Android version of the student app not have built-in scan functionality? And I do know that students can use a separate scanner app, but the workflow is not as clean.
Having assignment uploads as pdf also makes grading/annotating much easier.

Hi -
Yes, this function would be great for Android users as well.

This one is asking for additional features, and it could be a place for a shoutout for Android. -- Document Scanner - Canvas Community
