Does Canvas offer any navigation tools for students to use during exams?

For example, highlight portions of question text and multiple choice answers? Or flagging questions to answer later.

Depending on which version of quizzes that you are using, both Classic Quizzes and New Quizzes offer a way for students to mark questions during a quiz that they can come back to later.

• How do I take a quiz? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) - Classic Quizzes, see the section on "Flag Questions"
• How do I take a quiz in New Quizzes? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) - New Quizzes, see the section on "View Quiz" where you can "pin" a question

Do you know if there's a feature to highlight/mark through exam questions and answers? I understand that ExamSoft and board exams, such as MCAT, USMLE-STEP, have this feature for students who require it as an accommodation. How are others accommodating students? Thanks!

Unfortunately, we don't have an option to highlight/mark the exam. This is not a feature we have.

You are welcome to create an idea on our community about this. 

How do I create a new idea conversation in the Instructure Community? 

For now, the only option would be the flagging/pinning questions.
