[ARCHIVED] Canvas Commons without Announcements

A person shared their course on Canvas Commons and when I imported the course into my empty shell it came over with all their announcements.  Is there a way to import the content without all the announcements?

Sorry to see that your question has been sitting out here for so long without a response.  Unfortunately, I do not think that this is possible.  When you import something from Canvas such as a single page, a module, or an entire course...the only option is to import the entire thing (whatever it is) or nothing at all.  So, as I'm assuming you've already discovered, you'll have to manually delete those course announcements.  I might suggest that you leave a review for the person that shared that content to let him/her know that the course announcements came over as well.  That person may want to remove those from the shared content.  How can I leave a review for a resource in Commons... - Canvas Community
