So, I am wondering, can you change the language of Canvas in the iPhone or Android app?  I was hoping parents could do so - it would really help them with access to content.

Hi Sara,

Do you mean like this?

To do this first login using a web browser then go to your settings and change the Language. Once you save this it should display that language in the app. You might have to logout and back into the app if it does not. But it works.

Hi Sara, in regards to your question if you can automatically set a user's language for them, it looks like the user[locale] function can do this in the Canvas API. See: Users - Canvas LMS REST API Documentation

So if you had a list of user IDs you wanted to set and a little help from someone in your IT department I think you'd be able to accomplish this.
