[ARCHIVED] Can the back-end of Canvas Catalog be modified

Hi. Me again

Another question about Catalog.

Can the backend of Canvas Catalog be modified? Not sure if it's open-source and if third-party back-end developers can get in and modify it.  We are wanting to modify the rich text editor for the course description we can add images and H1, H2 and h3 headings.

One option I am thinking about is added a TinyMice Javascript plugin to provide access to a rich texter editor in Catalog. Has anyone done that?

Cheers
