[ARCHIVED] Can a teacher view a student's "Other ways to contact"?

I am testing something out with the Canvas API adding/removing contact methods. Is there a way to view another user's "Other ways to contact" as a teacher/faculty on the site? If so, how?

 @ntyler1 , I just tested this and if an Instructor clicks on the name of a student (from People, Discussions, Gradebook) and then clicks on their name again when the student Context Card pops up it will take them to the student's user page. On this page they can see if a student has added other ways to contact, bio, and links.

 @kona ‌, I tried acting as a teacher, clicked a student in People in one of the teacher's courses but was unable to click the student's name again. I see Contact, Bio, Links, etc but there's no info on ways to contact. I verified that there are 4 ways to contact this student on their profile.

 @ntyler1 , did you double-check that the student has the boxes checked under the services to make them "visible to others on your profile." When people have these boxes checked I am able to see their (selected) contact methods. If you verify this and still can't see it, then I would question if there is some type of permission that is needed to also allow you to see this.

 @kona ‌, where can I find these boxes? You'll get several "thumbs up" if you can help me out here, because this looks really useful.

 @aasmund_kvamme , when someone is editing their profile they have the option of checking those boxes for any contact methods that they've already enabled.

That's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for a way so that teachers can view student's other email addresses and phone numbers they entered into canvas.

 @ntyler1 , sorry about that! I don't know of any way for anyone to easily see this information on the front end of Canvas unless the school as written some type of program that would provide access to this information somewhere.

However, with just teacher permissions you cannot see other user's settings. You will get "unauthorised" "user not authorised to perform that action".

As an admin, you can see the details (additional email address, SMS, etc.).  So it would be possible to build a tool that would let a teacher see the details for students enrolled in their course.

We would like it to be apart of Canvas if possible. Is there a way of programming a module so it would be available on Canvas?
