I want to create a quiz about Microsoft Word and I would like to have multiple choice questions that show icons from Word as possible answers. Is there a way to do this?

Yes if you are using New Quizzes - you have a RCE for the answers for the multiple choice and can add images for the answer.  So if you have the icons as images, then it is no problem.

I just checked classic quizzes, and it has the RCE as well when you edit the answers, so it works in both quizzes.  

You just imbed the image in the RCE and it shows up when viewing the quiz.  Here is another answered question that may help:
