Celebrate Excellence in Education: Nominate Outstanding Educators by April 15!
I'm a student, and my teacher says that whenever he tries to preview my assignment submissions he only sees the first page of the PDF. When you download it, you can see everything, but he's really bad with tech, and he doesn't get it when I explain it to him. He says I'm the only one he has this problem with, so I know it's my computer. Why do my submissions only display the first page in the preview?
How are you creating your PDFs? I don't have an answer, but there are many programs which can view and create PDF files and some do so in slightly different ways. Comments for instance show up way differently if you view a PDF in Adobe Acrobat, vs Google Chrome, vs. Apple Preview. It could be that the program you are using the create the PDFs is doing something a little weird which is is causing it to display just the first page when viewed in Canvas. Again, this is just a guess but I'd see if you have a different method available; if on a computer usually you can Save or Export directly to PDF from Word or other MS programs. If you are using a mobile device and taking pictures of pages to create your PDFs, I suggest and app named CamScanner. Below is a link to a video showing it in action and I've never heard of people having issues with the PDF files it creates https://use.vg/HyR10i
Good luck,
Rick
