[ARCHIVED] Adding group to assignments

My district has just started a new grading period. I am attempting add the same groups in assignments that I previously used. When I add a group to the current quarter, the old group titles pop up and my newly created group is at the bottom creating a duplicate group. When I delete OR leave both groups in assignments, whenever I return to the assignments page they disappear and revert back to random groups. I've checked the grading period on assignments and grades. Not sure why this is happening. I've tried for every class. Any tips....

Greetings! This sounds like a super strange issue and I'm wondering if it's related to grading periods. My recommendation is to submit this as a ticket to Canvas Support. To do this, click on the Help link in Canvas and "Report a Problem."
