[ARCHIVED] 31 Character Limit on Sync Assignments

When I create an Assignment title that will be synced to Powerschool it will not allow me to create a title longer than 31 characters. I asked the tech in my district why that is and they said it was a canvas restriction because in our Powerschool we can create a title whatever length we choose.  Is there a way to change that restriction because I am not able to write a detailed title and it has been confusing students with the title of my lecture notes to the assignment name. Thank you.

I'd say it's a restriction with the PowerSchool/Canvas integration because for a typical assignment in Canvas you can certainly have titles longer than 31 characters.  Typically integrations with Canvas are created by the other vendor which would put it with Powerschool to change.
