Principal Learning Consultant with Instructure. 8+ years of experience with Mastery Connect and Canvas, focusing on implementation, consulting, professional development, assessments, and strategic consulting. He specializes in finding solutions and creative ways to combine Canvas and Mastery Connect to deepen and enrich instruction, learning, and assessments and provide professional development and consulting specific to meet the needs of educational partners. Stephen has executive experience as a District Administrator, Assistant Principal, and classroom teacher in public schools for 7.5 years. He is intensely interested in utilizing data from Mastery Connect to inform instruction and leadership decisions and has used Mastery View Predictive assessments in his professional teaching and administrative career. Hailing from and living in South Carolina, Stephen has a family of four, two Great Pyrenees and a horse. He loves the outdoors and spending time with his family in the mountains of SC and NC.

The proficiency calcuation is set by the district, which is by default "Most Recent;" However, you can use the Individual Student Mastery Report to see the "overall course mastery" for a student.
