Mastery Connect Release Notes (2022-12-15)

In this Mastery Connect release (December 15), teachers and administrators can access Mastery View Predictive Assessment reports within Mastery Connect.

 

New Features

 

Mastery View Predictive Assessments

Administrators and teachers can access Mastery View Predictive Assessment reports within Mastery Connect, providing a cohesive reporting experience and improved visibility across all mastery-based data. 

The Mastery View Predictive Assessments from Instructure are rigorous state-specific benchmarks that measure student academic progress and predict summative outcomes on state assessments.

Note: This feature is only available in Alabama, California, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee.    

 

Admin Workflow

Admins can download, view, and distribute the Mastery View Predictive Assessment reports.

The Benchmarks page can be filtered to show only Mastery View Predictive Assessments. Click the Created By drop-down menu and select the Mastery View Predictive Assessment option. 

Admins can use the Search bar to search for Mastery View Predictive Assessments. Additional search filters are available by clicking the Expand icon.

On the Assessments page, predictive reports are indicated by the Available Results and Predictive Reports icon with a plus sign.

Predictive Reports can also be accessed in the More Options menu.

By default, the Predictive Reports tab displays in the Assessment Manager. In the Predictive Reports tab, admins can view the assessment availability status and availability dates, and menus to filter by schools and teachers.

Additionally, admins can view the district predictive report file, as well as expandable folders containing reports for all schools and teachers.

Click the school name link to view school predictive reports.

To view teacher and student predictive reports, click the teacher name link, then click the tracker name link.

Click the report name link to download any PDF and XLXS report. To open and view the file, locate the file in your browser's default downloads folder.

To export one or more reports to a ZIP file, select the file checkboxes. To select a group of reports contained within a folder, click the folder checkbox. Admins can export the selected files from the Export menu, as well as view an export history.

By default, the name of the data export is the name of the Mastery View Predictive Assessment. However, the name can be edited. Click the Export button to create the data export and open the Data Export page.

In the Data Export page, click the Download button to download the data export as a ZIP file containing all the selected reports.

Additionally, various updates have been made to the roles and permissions. For details about available roles and permissions, refer to this guide to view any changes applicable to roles.

 

Teacher Workflow

Teachers can download and view class-level Mastery View Predictive Assessment reports.

In the Tracker View page, click the name of the Mastery View Predictive Assessment. In the assessment menu, click the Reports link.

By default, the Assessment Details window displays the Reports tab. Click the Predictive Reports tab to view the Predictive Report files available for download.

Select one or more report checkboxes to download a predictive report. Then, click the Download Selected button. The file is then downloaded to the browser's default downloads location.
