Mastery Connect Release Notes (2022-07-22)

In this Mastery Connect release (July 21), benchmark and district formative assessments are updated to provide a more clear user experience.

  New Features

Assessment Management Experience

Benchmark and district formative assessments are updated to provide a more clear user experience.

Benchmark Assessments

Benchmark assessments have been updated with an improved delivery experience for admins with clearer tracker selection, consolidated settings, and updated expectations for auto-delivering new trackers.

Additionally, benchmark admins can monitor the progress of the benchmark delivery to trackers, including a dedicated progress tab with clearer metrics and a progress data export.

Benchmarks will now be visible in trackers 24 hours in advance of the availability date, allowing instructors and admins to verify they have the benchmark before testing begins.

Indicators next to a tracker specify if the tracker was created from a curriculum map or directly from the standard set for the core and class.

The ability to add additional trackers that are not part of the automatic selection of trackers has been moved. And each section on the page can be collapsed to simplify the visual experience.

The “Auto-deliver to new matching trackers” toggle button has been modified. Previously, this feature would include any new trackers that had the standards, even if they did not have the correct core and class. This led to confusion on the functionality, so it has been adjusted to only include new trackers that match the core the benchmark was created from.

The benchmark availability date section has been redesigned. The settings for delivery have been moved and consolidated below the availability dates.

A new progress tab allows admins to better determine the delivery progress of their benchmarks. This includes improved statistics and a list of individual schools and trackers, which include individual delivery progress details.

The ability to toggle availability for schools is available on the progress page, as well as the ability to remove the benchmark or delete scores from individual trackers.

In the Progress tab, admins can export progress data to a CSV report.

Benchmarks are visible in trackers 24 hours prior to the start date indicated, but instructors will be unable to interact with the column and benchmark until the true start date. This allows instructors and admins to determine if the benchmark is missing in a tracker and ensure they are properly delivered.

Within the tracker, instructors can view the new benchmark status icon to know whether the benchmark is scheduled, in progress, paused, or completed. To view details, instructors can hover over the benchmark status icon.

District Formative Assessments

District formative assessments are updated to provide an improved experience for distribution and tracking progress via the Settings tab.

Time Zones

Default time zones are implemented for each school district. Any benchmark scheduled for the district will adopt the default time zone for the district. If the user scheduling the benchmark is in a different time zone, they will see their local time zone. To change a default time zone, districts need to reach out to Support or their CSM.
