Canvas Deploy Notes (2024-03-13)

Canvas deploys contain code changes that are intended to fix bugs, improve performance, and prepare for new features. These deploys take place every two weeks and can be tested in the beta environment before the production deploy date indicated in the title of this document. Institutions are responsible for conducting thorough evaluations of their custom CSS/JS with each release and deploy to assess potential impacts.

Fixed bugs are located in Known Issues. For related issues resolved in this deploy, view the 2024-03-13 Known Issues tag.

Summary

When the Temporary Enrollments feature option is enabled, the Provisioning Enrollment CSV report can include the following data:

  • Canvas_temporary_enrollment_source_id
  • Temporary_enrollment_source_user_id

Note: The inclusion of either or both of these data columns in the report depends on the available SIS data.

When right-clicking on media in the Rich Content Editor, the options to download media, open media in a new tab, and copy the media address are removed from the menu.
