The professional value/caring competency was addressed when I completed the nursing philosophy voice thread. In this voice thread, I chose a nurse philosopher who explained her theory of care, cure, and core. This relates to this competency because it explains that giving care to patients is very important to helping them heal. It is important to build a therapeutic relationship with a patient along with showing empathy and nurturing them because their feelings affect their healing process.
